Executive Vice President & Chief Executive Officer Upstream

Adif Zulkifli is the Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of PETRONAS’ Upstream Business. Leading up to his appointment, he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of the Gas and New Energy Business, where he was responsible for the company’s Midstream Gas Assets, LNG Marketing and New Energy. Having joined PETRONAS in 1993 as a reservoir engineer, Adif has worked in various areas in the company including reservoir engineering, strategic planning, business development and petroleum economics. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, Illinois, United States. As a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Adif has played leading roles within the petro-technical community in Asia Pacific and Middle East via his role as the Chairman of the SPE Asia Pacific Regional Advisory Council, Chairman of the International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) Board of Directors and serves on the international advisory committee for Offshore Technology Conference Asia (OTCA). He was previously the Vice Chair for the E&P Working Committee for the International Gas Union (IGU).
