Leah McGowen-Hare, Trailhead Evangelist and Senior Director at Salesforce, is passionate about making learning accessible and empowering everyone to have a career in technology. Ms. McGowen-Hare is an accomplished and dynamic Master Technical Trainer for Salesforce with over 20 years of experience in technology. During her career, she has mastered a variety of roles, including Consultant, Software Developer, Manager, Curriculum Developer, and Technical Trainer. Her career reflects the evolution of computing technology. Ms. McGowen-Hare has worked in mainframe, personal computing, client-server, and cloud computing. Her work has included systems integration, system implementations, and conversions. McGowen-Hare is one of the brains behind “Be a Multiplier,” a program that inspires people to encourage their communities to acquire the necessary skills for the jobs of today and tomorrow using Trailhead, Salesforce's free online learning system. She uses her knowledge and experience to demystify and make technology more accessible to youth, girls, communities of color, and Veterans through organizations such as BlackGirls Code, Hidden Genius Project, Girls Who Code, and Vetforce. Ms. McGowen-Hare holds a BS in computer science and an MS in technology education. She has also published a children's book, Charlie the Hotdog.
