Chairman

Hon. Neil Chatterjee, Chairman, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, was nominated by President Donald J. Trump in May 2017 and confirmed by the US Senate in August 2017. He served as Chairman from August 2017 to December 2017, and he was again named Chairman on 24 October 2018. Prior to joining the Commission, Hon. Chatterjee was Energy Policy Advisor to US Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (Republican-Kentucky). Over the years, he has played an integral role in the passage of major energy, highway, and agriculture legislation. Prior to serving Leader McConnell, Hon. Chatterjee worked as a Principal in Government Relations for the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association and as an Aide to House Republican Conference Chairwoman Deborah Pryce (Republican-Ohio). He began his career in Washington, DC, with the House Committee on Ways and Means. Hon. Chatterjee holds a degree from St. Lawrence University and a JD from the University of Cincinnati, College of Law.
