Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Amadou Ly is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Akilee S.A., a technologically based energy service company. He worked for EDF for seven years, first in R&D then with the Nuclear Engineering Division. In 2013 after 12 years in France, he returned to Senegal to embark on entrepreneurship, through the creation of engineering consulting firm integrated-Negawatt Energy Services (i-NES), which specialized in energy efficiency and renewable energy services. During that time, he also served as a consultant and eventually became a Partner at one of Senegal’s most recognized strategy and management consulting firms, Performances Group. Deeply interested in energy sector issues, Dr. LY decided to shift to innovative solutions dedicated to power utilities and their customers by creating Akilee S.A., in collaboration with the Senegalese national power utility, Senelec. Dr. LY holds an Engineer in physics degree, a Master of Research in material science, and a PhD in physics and from Grenoble INP in France.
