Jonathan Westby

Co-Managing Director, Energy Marketing & Trading

Jonathan Westby, Co-Managing Director, Energy Marketing & Trading, Centrica, plc, was appointed to the business unit in January 2016, having joined Centrica in 2014. In this role, he has responsibility for all of Centrica’s energy trading activity and is on the Leadership Team of Centrica’s Business Division. Before joining Centrica, Mr. Westby spent 20 years with BP, within their Energy Trading business. During this time, he worked as a Gas Trader in the liberalizing UK and European gas markets and as an LNG Trader. In 2005 Mr. Westby was appointed Global LNG Trading Manager in which role he built a market-leading LNG trading capability and managed teams in Houston, Singapore, and London. Mr. Westby holds a degree from the University of Sheffield.
