Mark Morey

Senior Director

Mr. Morey is Senior Director with IHS Markit, where he is engaged with serving clients in the electric power, coal and natural gas sectors. Previously, he held management positions with GE Power Services and Alstom Power, where he was responsible for the marketing and sale of advanced combustion systems and renewable energy resources to the electric power industry. During his time at Alstom, Mr. Morey developed and managed a Fuel Intelligence Service that examined global markets for coal, natural gas, oil and wood pellets. He has worked on power plant projects throughout the world, and completed multi-year overseas assignments in Europe and in Asia. Prior to his positions with GE and Alstom, Mr. Morey worked for leading consulting firms that serve the electric power sector and producers of natural gas and coal. During the 1980’s and 1990’s, Mr. Morey was engaged in marketing and sales functions for two large U.S. coal producers, CONSOL Energy and AMVEST Coal Sales. Mr. Morey holds an undergraduate degree from the College of Wooster (Ohio) and a masters degree from the Pennsylvania State University.
