Managing Director, Head of Natural Resources and Infrastructure, Americas

Roberto Simon is Managing Director and Head of Natural Resources & Infrastructure for the Americas, for Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking. He is responsible for the Bank’s Energy Finance, Infrastructure Finance, Metals and Mining Finance, and Trade Commodity Finance activities in the Americas. Previously, he was responsible for Société Générale’s Project and Energy Finance activities for the Americas. Mr. Simon joined Société Générale in 1997 as a Managing Director in the Project Finance Group. He has focused on the energy sector, and has participated in several important project finance and privatization transactions throughout the Americas. Most recently, Mr. Simon acted as Financial Advisor to Cheniere Energy Inc. for the Sabine LNG and Corpus Christi LNG transactions. He also acted as Financial Advisor to Hunt Oil for Peru LNG. Mr. Simon holds an MBA from University of Chicago, and a B.S. from the University of Maryland.
