CEO of Ecopetrol Group, Colombia's leading energy company and one of the most important in the Americas. Over 30 years of experience in the energy industry. Felipe has led Ecopetrol’s transformation and energy transition processes, with a robust plan to diversify the business and decarbonize the operations through, amongst other, renewables, electrification, natural climate solutions, and hydrogen. All these underpinned by innovation and technology as catalyzers of sustainability, what Ecopetrol calls T-ESG (Technology, Environmental, Social and Governance). This strategy has allowed the company to successfully address and overcome the complex global context resulting from the pandemic and the drop in oil prices, achieving solid operational and financial performance, key to strengthening Ecopetrol as the company faces the challenges and opportunities of the energy transition. Before being appointed as CEO in 2017, Felipe was COO of Ecopetrol and worked at BP plc for 20 years.
