Chief Technology Officer

In 2019, Todd Skare was appointed Chief Technology Officer of Linde after holding the same position at Praxair since 2014.  He is responsible for setting strategic direction for Linde’s research and development activities for both near term growth and long-term positioning including facilitation of rapid commercialization of new technologies through the business segments to Linde’s customers. Skare joined Praxair in 1992 as a process engineer and subsequently held positions in sales, engineering management, and business management before being named president of Praxair Europe where he was responsible for the growth and profitability of Praxair’s gas business in Europe and new investments in Russia. Skare holds a BS in chemical engineering from State University of New York and an MBA from Rutgers University.  He also holds seven U.S. patents for industrial gas production.
