Roberto Casula is the President and Chief Executive Officer at ENI Next, a corporate venture capital vehicle he has set up in Boston, Massachusetts. ENI Next LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of ENI Petroleum US and is the strategic investment arm of ENI Group for breakthrough clean technologies, industrial innovation and digital technologies in the energy space. He has spent a long career holding many technical and managerial positions while dealing with strategic initiatives, business development and giant projects worldwide. In the last four years he has been leading the new technical division of ENI including operating activities, engineering activities, upstream procurement and R&D. He has a degree in mining engineering and started his career with ENI in 1988 as a reservoir engineer. He also serves as a member of the External Advisory Board of MIT Energy Initiative.
