Aleksandr Bochkarev is specialized in development and implementation of new technologies in petroleum engineering. Base areas of expertise are in between science, engineering and business practices, including oilfield service business administration, hydraulic fracturing, well construction, rock and porous media mechanics, exploration and production play strategy. Graduated from MIPT (Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology) Started career as Schlumberger field engineer, worked on ~20 oilfields and shortly been involved in complicated (both technologically and financially) offshore projects. After leaving Schlumberger joined software development team in MIPT Centre of Engineering and Technology (CET MIPT – the CET Group “flagship” company). Shortly improved to project manager and started the engineering service campaign instead of selling software licenses. Founded the Department for Engineering and Technical Services (as head of department). Engineering service concept proved to be the key to transforming new technology into innovation since it provided instant feedback for scientists and software developers from in-house experienced petroleum engineers which implemented the technology right away. Eventually became CEO of Phystech Geoservice (a CET Group company).
