Zbyszko Tabernacki, Senior Vice President, Economics and Country Risk, Global Economics, IHS Markit, is an expert on emerging markets economics and finance, with 20 years of experience in economic, political, and financial analysis and forecasting. He manages a global team of 430 economists and country analysts based in seven offices on four continents. Mr. Tabernacki’s team is responsible for daily coverage, analysis, and outlooks on economic, political, and security developments as well as risk assessment for 204 countries globally. Previously Mr. Tabernacki managed Country Intelligence team at Global Insight prior to its acquisition by IHS Markit, and earlier he served as Global Insight’s Managing Director for Emerging Europe. From 1995 to 2002 he was Senior Economist and Director of Bank Services at PlanEcon. He has been heavily involved in daily analysis of developments in emerging markets globally and has written extensively on evolving fiscal, monetary, and exchange rate policies, with special emphasis on European emerging markets. He managed and participated in a number of consulting projects financed by the European Commission, the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development, and many private sector clients. Mr. Tabernacki was previously a Manager in the Corporate Finance department of Price Waterhouse in Warsaw. He is a charter holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of the National Association of Business Economists in Washington, DC; the CFA Institute; and the Washington Society of Investment Analysts. Mr. Tabernacki holds an MSc from the Warsaw School of Economics and continued his postgraduate studies at the Georgetown University School of Business.
