Co-Founder, President & CEO

Nick Tillmann is Co-Founder, President, and CEO of inRobotics, a robotic technology development company partnering with Rice University’s Robotics and Intelligent Systems Lab to develop solutions to improve safety, reduce the environmental impact, and enhance the quality and efficiency of inspection and maintenance of large assets. Mr. Tillmann is an experienced petroleum industry executive whose experience includes leadership of diverse international businesses with significant P&L responsibility, turnarounds, start-ups, emerging markets, and rapid growth. At ConocoPhillips, he successfully started up and managed Conoco’s downstream petroleum business in Poland, managed the company’s global petroleum coke business, directed numerous international business development projects, and led the development and commercialization of technology-based products, such as flow improvers and carbon products. Mr. Tillmann served as Director of Energy Acceleration at the Houston Technology Center from 2014 through 2017, where he advised and mentored over 100 energy start-up companies, and developed and implemented programs to educate start-up founders and teams. He holds a BA in Liberal Arts, German, and Political Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago and an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
