Chief Executive Officer, Al Yasat Petroleum
Tayba Al Hashemi is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Al Yasat Petroleum, ADNOC’s newest joint venture operating company and its first partnership with CNPC. Al Yasat is responsible for two concession areas in Abu Dhabi. The offshore concession area is producing since March 2018, with further development planned. The onshore concession area measures 7800 km², about twice the size of Dubai, and is located to the south west of Abu Dhabi. Exploration is ongoing to assess its full commercial potential. Ms. Al Hashemi was before ADNOC’s Undeveloped Reservoirs Projects Unit Manager, within ADNOC’s Upstream Directorate. In this role, Ms. Al Hashemi worked on unlocking offshore and onshore hydrocarbon reserves to achieve, sustain and increase gas production to meet the ADNOC 2030 strategy. In this role Ms. Al Hashemi was responsible for successfully delivering the mega Ultra Sour Gas Hub. Previously, Ms. Al Hashemi spent two years as Exploration Unit Manager in ADNOC’s Exploration and Production Directorate. She has also held various other engineering and management positions across ADNOC since 2002. In addition, she is a member of ADNOC Sour Gas’s board of directors, Chairman of ADNOC Sour Gas Audit committee and a member of various Upstream company committees.
