    Plastics Sustainability: Meeting the challenge

    Panel Oil Climate/Environment/Sustainability

Plastics sustainability is one of the top priorities and a potential disruptor for the chemical industry. Much work remains to develop sustainable business models and behavioral models to address this systemic issue with transformation of the linear approach to plastics into a circular infrastructure. The trend among plastics producers is toward a focus on waste management for societal and business benefit. How will this develop? This session will discuss the drivers and actions to ensure sustainability from a policy perspective, who should take responsibility across the value chain, and how technology and infrastructure development affect the outcome.
