Taher Elgamal, Chief Technology Officer of Security, Salesforce, is an industry veteran in internet security. He is the inventor of the Elgamal digital signature scheme, which is the basis for digital signature algorithm (DSA). While serving as Chief Scientist of Netscape Communications, he was the driving force behind secure socket layer (SSL) Mr. Elgamal was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Securify, and was the Director of Engineering at RSA Security Inc. prior to Joining Netscape in 1995 and founding Securify in 1998. Mr. Elgamal has served and is serving on many public and private boards. He also served and is serving on advisory boards of many security and software companies. Mr. Elgamal was the recipient of the 2009 RSA Conference Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Elgamal holds a BS from Cairo University, as well as MS and PhD degrees from Stanford University.
