Hinda Gharbi, Executive Vice President of Reservoir & Infrastructure, Schlumberger, has served in that position since February 2019. Prior to her current role, Ms. Gharbi was Vice President of Human Resources for Schlumberger Limited, President of the Reservoir Characterization Group, President of Wireline, President of Schlumberger Asia, and Vice President of Health, Safety & Environment. Ms. Gharbi held various technical and management positions in operations, product development, and human resources in France, Thailand, United Kingdom, and the United States. She began her career with Schlumberger in 1996 as a Wireline Field Engineer in Nigeria. Ms. Gharbi holds a degree from École nationale supérieure d'ingénieurs électriciens de Grenoble and a Master of Science degree from Institut polytechnique de Grenoble.

    E&P players have focused on exploiting maturing basins in recent years, as lower commodity prices favor existing operations and known petroleum systems that may offer lower-cost production and application of innovative practices and new technologies. Maturing basins in many cases offer significant upside in conventional and unconventional resource exploitation and exploration. Such basins can provide a mix of investment opportunities to suit all, with smaller, short-cycle and brownfield investments and traditional greenfield projects. What are the key technical or commercial ingredients for success in developing maturing basins?
