Tom is currently Senior Director – Operations Technology for Chesapeake Energy based in Oklahoma City where he is accountable for delivery of technology, completion & reservoir expert services and intelligent field operations. Prior to joining Chesapeake in 2018, Tom completed a 33-year career with Royal Dutch Shell. While at Shell he held numerous technical & business roles and held multiple management positions in all of Shell’s primary U.S. Upstream businesses and locations – covering both onshore and offshore operations. Tom finished his Shell career spending 4-years as Vice President, Global Deepwater & Wells Technology accountable for all research & development activities from discovery through deployment across several global technology platforms. He holds a B.S. with Distinction in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University (1985) and an MBA from UCLA Anderson (1999).
