Chief Executive Officer & Founder

Apoorv Sinha is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of a Carbon Capture & Utilization technology start-up, Carbon Upcycling Technologies (CUT), that is commercializing a process to convert CO2 emissions into performance-enhancing fillers for concrete, plastics, pharmaceuticals, and batteries. CUT’s technology includes technically validated applications in the concrete, plastics, solar PV cells, adhesives, batteries, as well as pharmaceutical drug delivery industries. In 2017, CUT became the youngest CO2 utilization company to commercialize a product from CO2 emissions within two and a half years of founding, and it has been recognized as one of the top Solar Impulse Efficient Solutions. Mr. Sinha also served as the Research Manager for zEroCor Technologies, a Calgary-based oilfield service and technology development firm. As Research Manager, he managed over 15 active projects for zEroCor Technologies in collaboration with over 10 universities. In 2010, Mr. Sinha co-founded TOHL, a humanitarian logistics start-up with headquarters in Atlanta, that has conducted water infrastructure projects in Chile, Kenya, and is expanding operations in Nigeria. TOHL has been featured on BBC, Forbes Magazine, Calgary Herald, and on the “Daily Plant” on Discovery Channel. He is a 2020 Forbes 30 Under 30 Energy awardee, an alumni of the Energy Futures Lab, a 2016 Leading Change delegate, a Clean50 Emerging Leader 2016, and has served on the Alberta Cleantech Industrial Alliance (ACTia) Board of Directors from 2017 to 2019. Mr. Sinha earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Institute of Technology in chemical engineering.
