Ibrahim A. Al-Muhanna has been the Adviser to the Minister of Energy since 1989. He was recently appointed as the Vice Chairman of the World Energy Council and serves as the Chairperson of Wattan Investment Company. Dr. Al-Muhanna also established his own consultant and research company in 2017. He has written many studies and articles, as well as a book, written in Arabic, on the transformation of the world system since the collapse of the Soviet Union. He is currently working on two more books. Before his current role, Dr. Al-Muhanna was a professor at King Saud University in Riyadh. Dr. Al-Muhanna received his PhD from the School of International Services at The American University in Washington, DC.
