Brian Crotty is Chief Executive Officer, OPIS, an IHS Markit company. Mr. Crotty has more than 25 years of experience running database and SaaS platform businesses, with a particular specialty in commodity pricing and supply database business models. Before assuming the CEO role at OPIS in 2002, Mr. Crotty spent eight years as a Vice President of Hart Publications. There he oversaw the Downstream Energy Group, which consisted of magazines, newsletters, and a SaaS consulting business. He has served two five-year terms on the Board of Directors of the Specialized Information Publisher’s Association. Mr. Crotty has an undergraduate degree from John’s Hopkins University and a master’s degree from American University.
