Dr. Marco Fiorentino is a Distinguished Technologist in the Systems Architecture Laboratory at HPE Labs in Palo Alto, California. He received a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Napoli, Italy in 2000 working on quantum optics. Before joining HPE Labs in 2005, he worked at Northwestern University, University of Rome, and MIT. In the past he has worked on quantum information processing, high precision measurements, and optical communications. He has published more than 60 papers in peer-reviewed journals and given numerous contributed and invited talks to international conferences. He is a Senior Member of the Optical Society of America.
