What Can a City Learn from the University of California’s Path to Carbon-Neutrality?

Thursday, March 14

02:30 pm - 03:00 pm

The University of California, comprising ten campuses and five medical centers, is on a path to carbon-neutrality by 2025. In the first decade of UC’s carbon neutrality initiative, both positive surprises and setbacks surfaced and course corrections were made. Since a large university is a coherent, moderately-dense community with a population similar to that of a small city, some of the “lessons learned” may have value to cities that are developing climate policy goals and action plans.
