Lyceum Labs: Afternoon Labs

Low emission pathways: Identifying and modeling plausible alternatives

Monday, March 11

04:00 pm - 04:50 pm

Companies are being asked by Boards and Investors to evaluate business models against energy pathways that would achieve the Paris Agreement climate targets. This Lyceum Lab will explore how these pathways project a fuel use level and mix that is markedly different than the current outlook. What projections are available to look at market and technology changes to meet the GHG reduction requirements? What assumptions are made on technology and efficiency? IHS Climate and Energy Scenarios experts will discuss our low emissions cases and how they are modeled, including ranges of assumptions and key challenges.
