Code of Conduct

CERAWeek fosters a culture of idea exchange, learning and relationship-building between global industry leaders and policymakers from around the world. We are dedicated to providing a safe event that is free from unwelcome, intimidating, offensive or improper conduct. The many stakeholders that contribute to CERAWeek’s success include partners, speakers, participants, staff, vendors, presenters, and media. It is in the interest of all stakeholders to preserve and enhance the culture of CERAWeek.

CERAWeek provides a framework that encourages this culture, but we rely on stakeholders to share this responsibility. As such, stakeholders are required to adhere to this Code of Conduct at all affiliated and unaffiliated CERAWeek events, plenary sessions, and spaces, including on the CERAWeek Mobile App, Twitter, and other online social media apps.

By participating in CERAWeek, you agree to:

1. Respect CERAWeek’s policy prohibiting harassment.
CERAWeek does not tolerate harassment of any kind. Examples of harassment include, but are not limited to, unwelcome sexual attention, derogatory or demeaning conduct, using and sharing sexually explicit, lewd, or violent imagery or language, unwanted physical contact, threatening, following or stalking, unwanted or intrusive photos or recordings, conduct that creates an intimidating or hostile environment, and sustained disruption of plenaries or other events.

2. Respect CERAWeek’s policy prohibiting discrimination.
CERAWeek does not tolerate discrimination. Behaviors, gestures, remarks, jokes or slurs that are offensive or discriminate against a group or class of people based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability, age, pregnancy, or veteran status are strictly prohibited at CERAWeek.

3. Respect CERAWeek’s commitment to safety.
CERAWeek’s facilities and amenities are designed to create a safe environment for all CERAWeek stakeholders. We ask that you respect and cooperate with safety instructions from CERAWeek staff and vendors throughout the conference. If you choose to consume alcohol, we ask that you do so responsibly and in a way that does not endanger your safety or the safety of others.
