Noriani Yati Mohamad is currently Project Director for BIGST, an upcoming cluster development of high CO2 gas fields with Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) in Malaysia. In her previous role as host authority in Malaysia Petroleum Management, she led the unitization of several Malaysia-Brunei fields, strategized the integrated development of sour gas fields in Sarawak, as well as led the establishment of PETRONAS Upstream CCS framework. Additionally, she was involved in the development of Malaysia’s 1st CCS project, Kasawari and 2nd CCS project, Lang Lebah. In 2020, Yati became the first female to be appointed as PETRONAS Skill Group Advisor for Petroleum Engineering. She actively contributes to professional societies by chairing technical symposiums, moderating sessions and presenting at Society of Petroleum Engineers(SPE), Society of Exploration Geologists(SEG) and European Engineers and Geoscientists Association(EAGE). Yati is a graduate of Colorado School of Mines, USA in BSc Petroleum Engineering.
