Mr. Wetzel serves as a Senior Director, Business Development at Pattern Energy. In this role, he advances project development and pipeline growth activities, with a focus on the Western US. Mr. Wetzel is the lead developer for Pattern Energy’s SunZia initiative, a wind and transmission portfolio which once completed will be will be the largest renewable energy infrastructure project in US history. Prior to joining Pattern, Mr. Wetzel spent eight years at SunPower Corporation. He held a number of roles at SunPower across the development and finance sectors, with responsibilities encompassing project development, power marketing, M&A, treasury, insurance, and corporate financing.
