Dr. Kamyar Rouindej is an accomplished professional with a wealth of experience in the energy and technology sectors, as well as extensive knowledge of leading and consulting on product development projects. He is currently serving as the CEO of Volta Technique, where he is leading the development of innovative energy storage technology using compressed air. Dr. Rouindej received his Bachelor's degree in System Analysis and Design from York University, followed by an MBA from Bremen University. After gaining several years of industry experience, he went on to complete his MEng and PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Waterloo, where he was a member of the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy (WISE). His research and journal publications have focused on energy storage and particulary compressed air energy storage (CAES) technology. He also holds the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation.
