Dr. Jana Nythruva is the Vice President of Electrification, Automation & Digitalization (EAD) Solutions for the Americas at Siemens Energy. He graduated from Texas A&M University with an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and obtained his M.B.A. and Doctorate in Business from the University of Florida, in Gainesville. He has more than 20 years of experience in the Energy Industry, from Power Generation to Industrial Applications and Processes. He has been with Siemens Energy (SE) since 2001 and has held multiple roles across the energy portfolio within SE. His current focus and interests lie in developing tailored, sustainable solutions to industrial customers in their decarbonization journey.

    The energy transition, and coming along with it decarbonization, creates a new era for the industry and industrial processes. According to the International Energy Agency's tracking report, the sector currently accounts for 38%* of all energy used worldwide and a large share of global CO2 emissions. Yet, the world economy needs to keep going. But at a reduced level of green house gas emissions. What’s needed are smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable ways of operating industrial assets to balance the energy trilemma: a sustainable, reliable and affordable energy supply. During this session, the speaker will review specific examples and use cases to highlight how decarbonization of industry can become a reality through Electrification, Automation, and Digitalization.
