Senior Vice President, Strategy and Sustainability

Cosma Panzacchi is Senior Vice President of Strategy and Sustainability at Siemens Energy. He is in charge of leading the overall portfolio management, coordinating the 2023-2030 strategic roadmap, designing and implementing the sustainability (net zero and social goals) agenda and roadmap. Before joining Siemens Energy, Cosma was Executive Vice President of the Hydrogen Business Unit at Snam. In this role he focused on: commercial development and international, investment in technologies and M&A, and upgrading of existing infrastructure. Before joining Snam, Cosma created and led the EU Continental Utilities team for AB Bernstein, the research division of Alliance Bernstein. In this position, he led the team covering all major EU Power and Gas groups and was in charge of advising top long-only and alternative asset managers on how to invest in the sector and across different stocks. Prior to Bernstein, Cosma was a Junior Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he was a member of the EU Leadership of the Power & Gas and Oil & Gas Practices. He worked across the globe focusing on: strategic planning and M&A; RES and smart grid development, optimization of gas offering; and optimization of operations in industrial complexes. Cosma holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He earned two M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Pisa and from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. Cosma has also served as a contract Professor of Strategy in the Ph.D. course at the IMT, Institute of Advanced Studies, in Lucca.
