CERAWeek is proceeding as planned. We are closely monitoring developments related to the COVID-19 coronavirus and will continue to do so leading up to the conference.
The Texas State Department of Health has affirmed that “the risk for all Texans remains low.” The Houston Health Department has also stated that there remain no known cases of COVID-19 in the city of Houston.
We do regret that delegates from China will not be able to attend this year’s conference due to travel measures already in place in the United States. We are exploring solutions to provide expanded virtual engagement options for those delegates and look forward to their participation again next year.
The safety and health of CERAWeek participants is our highest priority. We will continue to follow national and international guidance regarding the situation. As in previous years we are coordinating with all relevant agencies, including local and national public health officials, to ensure a safe and productive environment at the conference.
We are pleased to have Houston Methodist Hospital (HMH) as our medical partner for the conference. We have been consulting with HMH experts on proper preventive measures and will have dedicated 24-hour access to HMH health care advice and services during the conference.
We will provide any updates here as necessary.
